Orofacial Myofunctional Therapist and Registered Dental Hygienist

I am committed to to improving my clients' well-being through personalized care and a deep understanding of orofacial and airway health. As a mom, I bring patience and empathy to my work, making sure each client feels heard and supported. Outside of work, I like to recharge with yoga, traveling, and time on the ski slopes. 

My story begins with my own health - I have lived with a rare autoimmune condition for over 25 years, and am used to providers not understanding or dismissing my concerns. This was exponentially compounded when my son was born in 2012 and suffered from obstructive sleep apnea as a toddler. It's been a decade-long journey, but we are finally seeing light at the end of the tunnel. Because of my own experience, I am passionate about helping others navigate the often overwhelming airway space. 

I first graduated college in Lake Tahoe with both a degree in Natural Science and a certificate in dental assisting. While working as an assistant, I was encouraged to return to school for dental hygiene by my employer. I then attended Cerritos College and graduated with my RDH degree in 2019. 

Working full time as a registered dental hygienist, I began to see a lot of the same issues my son struggled with in my own patients' mouths. This guided me to the emerging fields of myofunctional therapy and airway dentistry. I believe that proactive intervention can help prevent and even resolve many oral health-related conditions. Over the past 5 years I have taken multiple airway and myofunctional therapy classes, culminating in a professional training course by Airway Circle. I continue to advance my knowledge daily with airway literature, research, podcasts, continuing education courses, and study clubs.
